The Warrior gets to swing a weapon again if the first target was taken out with any extra damage to spare. The Hunter gets an Overkill spell that does three points of damage and rewards a 5 / 5 minion if the keyword is triggered, for example. If you do more damage to an enemy minion than is required to kill it, the “splash damage” is converted into a bonus effect. Some of the new cards come with a new keyword called Overkill. UPDATE - 10th December 2018: Although we're a long way from a settled meta right now, we've been able to roughly rank decks under each hero category in the latest update. What should you expect from all this though? In our guide to Rastakhan's Rumble, we've got an overview of all the key features, along with an explanation of how they'll all work in practise.Īt launch, our friends at sister-site Metabomb will also be producing a huge number of deck guides, and we'll make sure they're all added in here so you can jump straight in to the latest meta developments. This time around it's the turn of the Troll tribe to have their moment in the spotlight, and the Rastakhan's Rumble set will add another 135 thematically-pleasing cards to the game, a new Overkill keyword, and a new single-player mode a little after launch. Ready or not, another Hearthstone expansion arrives just a week from now.
